Starting a New Page is the Best Reason to Deploy a Facebook ‘Page Likes’ Campaign

A Facebook Page with less than 100 followers won’t command the respect (or attention) of Facebook users. To achieve a certain reputation with users, your Facebook page needs a base number of Likes and Followers.

When you introduce a new page, a Page Likes campaign is a quick way to get your likes up to an acceptable number.

With most of my clients, once we achieve hundreds of followers, I disable this ad type. Here’s why I stop this Facebook ad campaign:

  1. For most businesses, other types of paid advertising on Facebook are more profitable.
  2. You’ll organically grow page likes as you post and promote more content.
  3. Just because users like your page, that doesn’t mean Facebook will show them your content. You may be paying for likes that never hear from you again, unless you advertise directly to them.
