Google Rewards the Original Content Creator
The first time content is published, Google attributes it as original content and credits the first source as more important than any site that republishes it. This is a key element of SEO rankings.
But sometimes you have the opportunity to expand your audience and publish your content on other publishing platforms like Medium, LinkedIn Articles, a press-release aggregator or a local newspaper’s blog.
If you want to post content in multiple places, that’s great! But first publish it on your own blog. Wait a week for Google to give your site attribution, then feel free to duplicate the content other places, such as a third-party blog or social platform.
